Toxic Feminism: Making Sense of the Post WAP Era

Defining Toxic Feminism and why it’s a healthy step towards unifying genders

Beat it up, nigga, catch a charge
Extra large, and extra hard
Put this pussy right in yo’ face
Swipe your nose like a credit card
Hop on top, I want a ride
I do a kegel while it’s inside
Spit in my mouth, look at my eyes
This pussy is wet, come take a dive

  • Lyrics from WAP ( Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion)

Never gave a damn, I ain’t never gave no fuck (No)
Fell out with them hoes, we ain’t never makin’ up (Fuck ’em)
Back for everything I ever lost, I’m on a mission (Let’s go)
We turned the whole house into a booth, we in the kitchen (Ugh)
Uh, let her cook (Woo)
Big Glo come through fryin’ shit (Hey), let her cook (Okay)
Too much cake, I’ll buy a bitch (On God), lеt her cook (Uh)
All this sauce, I’m tryin’ shit (Hoo), let mе cook (Uh)

  • Lyrics to Let Her Cook (Glorilla)

Being a woman in a man’s world is a scam. The “demure” and “lady-like” propaganda revealed how weak masculinity is by the intentional avoidance of three key components of natural emotional range: anger, matters of the heart, and awkwardness. Women had to learn how to dance around certain topics to soothe a man, to have them listen and then she would pray to all the universe that “their person” makes the emotional or physical adjustment for them.

I tried everything in my last relationship to keep my cool. I tried several “healthy” maneuvers to avoid going off on that man. I wrote out my feelings, edited out the intentional hurtful things, and read it out loud to him, I spoke with a gentle tone, I sent a strongly worded email. I waited for the “right time.” I abided by all his unspoken rules. Until one glorious day where I invited my emotions to run wild. And I’m so glad I went off on that nigga. I wish I would’ve said more. I wish I got it all out. Dusty ass nigga. (I’m good, I swear). Please note: You cannot heal what his mama damaged. But boy, did I try.

If you’re a man reading this, you may be turned off because you think it’s an attack. Well hold on, let me finish. May I offer a perspective to get through this? Take it like a “grain of salt,” that’s what that crusty ass nigga mentioned above use to say. Also, I don’t care, may the strongest survive. If you want to understand the innerworkings of Betti and possibly other women, keep reading, if not, log off and go worry about your small penis somewhere else. ( lol ok that was a clear attack, I’m so sorry for addressing your small penis).

Somehow, men have figured out how to avoid catching heat from women. They figured out how to avoid relationships and a women’s scorn. Bad move on their part. Now we entered an era of Cardi B’s and Glorilla’s, and collectively women are matching the air of toxic masculinity, by saying, “fuck you nigga, pay me.”

Sadly, at one point, I was rooting for you niggas. I was practicing the deepest level of internal misogyny. And guess what, men had an insult for that too. I was being a “Pick-Me” girl, because I rooted for men. I am now “too available.” And this is why Toxic Feminism is needed; to heal what has been wounded for generations (a women’s ego) and to slap people in the face. Waking everyone up to the sick joke of using genitals to prove a point. (Taylor Swift was putting it gently, but yall niggas suck fr.)

I just began putting words to what I feel is in the air. Toxic Feminism—not to be confused with toxic femininity—is the purest way to challenge what is toxic in both genders. And yes, this is speaking to people who practice traditional cis gender beliefs. I will get into Trans and Zers in a second. Trans women who claim to be women, I got words for you.

But back to the current dildo of problems.

Toxic Femininity Vs. Toxic Feminism

Let’s start with defining Toxicity in gender in the general sense. Forbes said it’s “any overplayed trait.” Meaning the extreme macho Vince McMahon’s and debutant Martha Stewart’s are toxic. Traits of Toxic Femininity shocked me. Psychology Today said some toxic femininity traits include:

  • A woman won’t let herself eat anything but a salad while on a date.
  • Having a lengthy and complicated nightly facial care routine.
  • Having a set of beliefs that women are to remain fragile, silent, and avoid contact sports.

Toxic Feminism as told by Betti, is the empowerment of women but in the same color of Fuck You that toxic masculinity bares. The Guardian brushed by the “potential” outcome of feminism being toxic. But if you listen to Latto, we are already there. And I’m here for it.

Feminism has been a white woman’s movement with the dawn of defining their issues and their position next to white men. Black women face a very different fight and thus, I invite Black womanism to my theory of Toxic Feminism. Black women hold a different type of pain. Our empowerment and healing sounds different. It sounds like threats and extreme force mixed in with a trap beat.

I practice Toxic Feminism in my brand, XchromebyX. Because it’s an art form. And a cute satire to the bullshit I went through, but mostly art. To recognize that Black Women Are The Real Niggas, is to take one of the highest merits in the underground Black community and turn it on its head. Black women have been called a Bitch before they been given their rightfully deserved place next to the OG’s and pillars in the community.

I also dated those who have claimed to be “real niggas.” I became a mother to those degenerates. And that’s when I lost every bit of hope that men will see women as equals. I must demand it. I must challenge it. I must force their hand, by making my point without making my point. It must be undiagnosed to be examined. Through XchromebyX, I appeal to the egos, the imbalance, and the urgent call to the grind; as a Black woman, I have been treated less than and I been given scraps.

Toxic Feminism is the first step to healing what has been overlooked; a woman’s ego. Yes, we have those, and they are severely malnourished. Our ego is important. It’s connected to our confidence and perspective of the world we live in. Toxic Feminism sounds wild, but it’s from the same matrix of toxic masculinity. Doing the math, two negatives—makes the solution positive and whole. We, as women, are starting to mirror what we see to demand the power. Hopefully, men take heed and look at themselves to change the trajectory before there is a full paradigm shift of women just not caring. I’m trying to avoid a possible apocalypse by addressing a call for equality and better treatment. Toxic Feminism is all fun, until women take it to the next level.

So, there it is, a very direct and in-your-face message to the process of why every woman should take to their version of Toxic Feminism. That could be just speaking your mind and not worrying about his feelings, that could be cussing a nigga out. If not for you, do it for your grandma who followed the unspoken rules of man.

Men who wish to lead need to change. There no more dances left in me. Unless it’s on these niggas’ necks.

More to come on the subject, this is just the beginning. Just remember kids, these niggas ain’t shit, until proven otherwise.

Until my next rant,

Its all love.

  1. So happy to see you writing again Betti 🙂

Genuinely curious now on what you were going to say when you wrote: “Trans women who claim to be women, I got words for you.”

    1. THANK YOU FOR YOU!

Oh yeah, I’m going to pop off soon to transformers who claim to be women. It’s the most manly thing they ever do.
